The only other work by Brandon Sanderson that I have read is 'The Way of Kings'. I love that book so when I heard about this one I thought I would give it a try.
When I started to read it and discovered it was in the first person narrative I almost set it down; I'm not a fan of that form of writing but I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did!
The story is interesting and the characters have depth. Towards the end there is so many twists I found myself shocked at each one ! This is worth reading if you want a good book. Brandon Sanderson is an author you should definitely check out if you love fantasy and sci fi.

The Pizza and Pages teen book club say this book had a lot of action (lots of super heroes, though technically they're all super VILLAINS). 9 out of 9 teens liked it. Seven REALLY liked it. One read it 3 times.

The twist at the end was really good. It makes re-reading it interesting to see how it is all set up. The mystery of how David and the normal humans are actually going to take down the ultimate super-villain, Steelheart keeps you turning the pages.

Rating: On a scale from spinach to pizza this one's a solid cheese pizza.

So it's been a while since I've read a really good book and when I started reading Steelheart I was really happy with how it was written. It's a really good book and I recommend this to anyone who likes sci-fi and fantasy. Even if you don't usually read those genres, you should still give this book a chance!

Now for my comments about the book...
I really enjoyed Brandon Sanderson's dystopian novel and i can't wait for the sequel titled Firefight to come out in Fall 2014. It was very original and kept me guessing the whole way through. Some parts put me close to tears and others very confusing. Very unrealistic which kinda made it amazing. I also think it would appeal to both genders. Please read this book and then vote for it. Thank you for reading my comment.

Steelheart was the best book I've read in a while. Most of the characters felt well-developed, and the story was great. It is set in a world where random people are given powers that defy all physics and logic. These people, the Epics, act as rulers, exempt from laws. Fighting against the Epics are the Reckoners, a group of freedom fighters who target one Epic at a time and assassinate them. Steelheart was well-paced, with a good plot and a good balance of humor and seriousness. Its only flaw was the Maze Runner style made-up swearword system: no matter how hard you try, "Sparks" does not sound like a swear word. I would defiantly recommend Steelheart, which will be followed by Fireflight (next year) and Calamity.

Great book. wouldn't recommend it for people under 14, a bit gory and descriptive in some parts, mainly the prologue.

BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Other: Very very minimal language and sexual content. He is a teen boy, he tells you what he is thinking but it is nothing absolutely terrible
