Chief Seattle and the Town That Took His Name

Richmond Beach

Description

Teacher, historian and writer of over a dozen books, David M. Buerge has been researching the pre-history and early history of northwest King County since the 1970s. Mr. Buerge will discuss his twenty-year journey of research and interviews that led him to write Chief Seattle and the Town That Took His Name, the first biography of Chief Seattle. Investigating everything from Native American oral histories to Hudson Bay records and newspaper accounts of the day, Buerge weaves a powerful, complex portrait of Chief Seattle.
