Calling small business owners! Join us for a small business tax series, presented in conjunction with Business Impact NW, a local nonprofit organization with a mission to grow businesses, and the Washington Women’s Business Center.

July 10:  Small Business Startup Basics 

Do you have a small business or are thinking of starting one? Gain valuable information on how to get properly licensed in WA, trade names, entities, insurance, employer identification numbers, and business and occupation taxes.

July 17:  Understanding Small Business Bookkeeping and Tax Preparation

For sole proprietorships and single member limited liability companies (Schedule C Filers). Learn about the accounting software available for bookkeeping, which business expenses are deductible or not, how to prepare for tax season, and why record-keeping is important.

July 24:  Common Tax Mistakes that Trigger an Audit

Avoid the most common tax mistakes that trigger an audit. See examples of audit notices and letters from federal and state tax agencies, and learn next steps.

July 31:  Ask a Tax Expert: Q&A Session

Bring your questions and receive expert advice. This workshop will provide resources and tools to assist you in the financial and business decision-making process. Sample questions include:  I received an IRS notice, what should I do? How often should I pay taxes? When is it time to change my business entity? What if I can't pay my federal taxes?
