Bug Houses and Wildlife Gardening

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Presented by Lisa Taylor, our favorite garden educator! For information about Lisa see Garden With Lisa

Learn about the beneficial insects in the garden and how to make a special habitat for them. We will build bug houses and meet some helpful ground dwelling creatures. We will also learn about pollinators and other flying insects.

We will set up a water and mud station to help them make their homes in our gardens, sing songs and have fun.

Please gather the following supplies before the class.

  • Water
  • Large shallow dish or pan
  • 2-3 cups dirt
  • 10-20 rocks of various sizes
  • Sticks
  • Moss or other plant material
  • A shady spot outside
