Community Art Space: Intro to Hand Embroidery with Shahela Malik

Ages 12 to adult.

Unleash your creativity by exploring a variety of art modalities. This month, local artist Shahela Malik introduces us to hand embroidery. She'll provide basic information, guide us through a few simple stitches and together we'll create a beautiful spring flower. 

Use whatever supplies you have at home or follow our suggested supplies list below:

  • Cotton cloth not less than 15 " by 15"
  • Embroidery threads ( green, red, yellow, blue) 
  • Embroidery needle (bigger hole for larger size embroidery thread)
  • Pencil
  • A pair of scissors
  • Embroidery hoop (recommend medium size)
