Join the Flock! Learn How Ornithologists Use Community Science Data and How to Get Involved

Presented by Olivia V. Sanderfoot, graduate researcher and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Washington School of Environmental & Forest Sciences.

Olivia will describe community science, highlight recent examples of community science projects that helped ecologists learn more about birds and share results from her latest research, including a local study using data collected by hundreds of birders in the Pacific Northwest during COVID-19 lockdowns. 

Questions are welcome about community science, her research and how to get involved.
