Memorial Day Program: Unforgotten in the Gulf of Tonkin, A Brief History of Combat Search & Rescue

For adults.

In honor of Memorial Day, author Eileen Bjorkman presents a brief history of combat search and rescue from World War II through the Vietnam War, including the development of powerful capabilities that have saved hundreds of downed airmen. She also highlights the rescue of Navy pilot Willie Sharp, whose F-8 was downed by enemy fire on November 18, 1965.

Unforgotten in the Gulf of Tonkin is available for purchase from Third Place Books.
