Rent Smart: Navigating the Housing Search

For adults. 

Presented by Solid Ground tenant Counselors.

Learn about how to navigate the housing search including:

  • Everything you need to know about tenant screening reports
  • Finding affordable housing
  • Information about subsidized housing programs
  • Fair housing laws
  • Information about holding deposits and security deposits
  • How to get an eviction off of your tenant screening report

A visiting attorney from the Tenant Law Center will also be on hand to help with answering questions.

If you are currently living in King County and being threatened with eviction, contact the Housing Justice Project for legal assistance at 206.267.7069 or hjpstaff@kcba.org.

Please register with an email address by 5pm on December 7. You will receive an email with a Zoom link the evening before the event. You can also connect to this program by telephone.
