Art of Listening

6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Description

In this interactive four-week workshop, learn how to focus and be present while another is talking, address our listening habits that block effective communication, and ways to validate, understand and connect with others.

Learn the value of silence in a conversation and you will get to have meaningful conversations with people in your community. Each week builds knowledge sequentially; ideally attendees can attend all four classes.

Facilitated by "The Listening Lady," Marci McReynolds, Manager, City of Bellevue Conflict Resolution Center.

Sponsored by the City of Bellevue in partnership with KCLS.

Registration is for the entire series. You will be sent a Zoom link within 24 hours before the first session.

Closed captioning is available for online events. Captioning is auto-generated. Reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities is available by request for all events. Contact the library at least seven days before the event if you need accommodation. Send your request to access@kcls.org.
