Integrity that Sings: The Kural on Goodness of Character

6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Description

In South India, the Kural is revered as a guide to practicing goodness and good sense in daily life. Yet this masterpiece of world literature, has long lacked translations that make its guidance accessible in English.

Translator and poet Thomas Hitoshi Pruiksma shares his journey translating this work and explores the relevance of the Kural today by delving into its conception of integrity, harmony and the naturalness of goodness.
