SilverKite Community Arts: Juneteenth Celebration

Description

Juneteenth is a federal holiday that commemorates the full emancipation of African American enslaved people. Multi-genre guest artists will share the history of Juneteenth and its lasting impact through storytelling, music, movement and reflection. Come for community building and thoughtfulness in celebration of this special holiday.

Class facilitated by Merri Ann Osborne and The Mahogany Project

SilverKite Community Arts offers online inter-generational workshops, talks, social hours and performances FREE for KCLS patrons. We hope that by offering these opportunities, we are providing stimulating creative engagement opportunities and social connection. These workshops last approximately one hour.
