Join a discussion with Sabrina Strings, Ph.D., author of Fearing the Black Body: The Racial Origins of Fat Phobia (2019) and The End of Love: Racism, Sexism and the Death of Romance (2024)

Fearing the Black Body was named one of Essence Magazine’s "10 Books We're Dying To Toss Into Our Summer Totes." It also made “must read” lists in Ms. Magazine, Colorlines, Bitchmedia, and has been featured on NPR, KPFA and WNYC.

LaToya T. Brackett, PhD
., Associate Professor in African American Studies at the University of Puget Sound, will moderate.
