Math Club: Core Math Algebra (Study Zone online)

Description

Math Club volunteers provide lessons to help students exercise their math skills. Classes are by suggested grade level, but students may attend lessons on any class they choose. Students should log in a few minutes before class begins.

May 5: Intro to (x-y)^2, (x+y)^2, and (x-y)(x+y) Concepts
May 12: Introduction to Parabolas, and how to graph them
May 19: All forms of quadratic equations (Vertex, Factored, Standard)
May 26: Solving by Factoring + quadratic formula
June 2: Solving by completing the square
June 9: Irrational Numbers (Sums and products)

Study Zone

Study Zone programs provide volunteer-led academic support for grades K-12. Programs include Tutors, Math Club, Reading Buddies and Kids & Teens Talk Time. Available online and in libraries.

Online Study Zone programs are supervised by library staff. Visit Study Zone for the Terms of Use Agreement and steps KCLS is taking to maintain a safe and positive online space.
