SilverKite Community Arts: Cozy Scenes in Colored Pencils

Description

Discover the versatility and beauty of colored pencils in this beginner-friendly workshop! You'll learn basic techniques such as layering, blending, and shading to create vibrant, detailed drawings. Whether you're new to drawing or looking to refine your skills, this class offers a fun and relaxing introduction to the world of colored pencils as you create your ideal cozy scene. Facilitated by SilverKite® Teaching Artist Valencia Carroll.

Supplies:
-Colored pencils (a basic set with a range of colors; Prismacolor or similar recommended)
-Drawing paper or sketchbook (smooth surface, mixed media paper)
-Pencil
-Pencil sharpener

Optional:
-Colorless blender pencil or blending stump
-Reference image or other objects for inspiration

    SilverKite Community Arts offers online inter-generational workshops, talks, social hours and performances FREE for KCLS patrons. We hope that by offering these opportunities, we are providing stimulating creative engagement opportunities and social connection. These workshops last approximately one hour.
