March 15: Small Space, Year-Round, Edible Organic Gardening

Learn how to eat from your yard and garden all year!

Join Lisa Taylor, garden educator extraordinaire and author of the Maritime Northwest Garden Guide and Your Farm in the City: An Urban Dweller’s Guide to Growing Food and Raising Animals, in a spirited discussion about growing vegetables year-round.

Explore the Maritime Northwest planting calendar and learn how to organize the garden to grow more food. We’ll identify varieties that thrive in our climate and add nutrition to our table. We will also investigate food preservation strategies so that thrifty gardeners can extend the harvest throughout the year.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Woodmont Library.

Registration not required.
