Watercolor 101

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Maple Valley

Description

Explore the basics of watercolor painting in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners. Learn about watercolor materials and tools, practice essential brush and water control techniques, and experiment with color mixing and simple effects like gradients, glazing, and wet-on-wet. You'll use what you've learned to create a 4"x6" painting, perfect to keep or give as a greeting card.

All materials are provided, but as a participant you are asked to bring one image example (digital or print) that you love or that resonates with you.

Monique Williams is a professional artist with over 25 years of experience working in both traditional and digital media, including watercolor, illustration, and mixed media. More about Monique can be found at moniquewilliams.art
