Author Panel: Putting Mom on the Page (Without Getting Grounded)

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Woodinville

Description

Just in time for Mother’s Day, this lively and heartfelt panel invites readers and writers alike to explore one of the most universal relationships of all: the one we have with our mothers. Whether tender, complicated, joyful, strained—or all of the above—every mother leaves a story behind. The question is: how would you write about her?

Putting Mom on the Page (Without Getting Grounded) brings together five acclaimed Seattle-area memoirists who have done exactly that, transforming their maternal histories into powerful, poignant, and deeply human books.

Together, they will discuss the art and emotional bravery of writing about mothers: what to include, what to leave out, how to balance honesty and compassion, and why these stories resonate so deeply—especially in May.
