Get ready to rumble! In this teen-led workshop, learn about the science of earthquakes and how engineers design buildings to resist them. And then, put your skills to the test by making a building of your own! Can you build something strong enough to outlast an earthquake?

Part of the STEM Saturdays Spring Series, where teen presenters lead fun and informative workshops on scientific topics. Occurs twice per month from March to April.

  • April 4th: 'Designing' Microplastic Filters for Washing Machines
  • April 25th: Build a Potato Battery with Eastlake High School's Science National Honor Society

Best suited for ages 8-12.

Supplies limited to 30 participants.



Space is extremely limited, first come first served. "Tickets" to the program will be available at the Info Desk 15 minutes before the start of the program.
