Día is known as Children’s Day or Book Day (El Día de los Niños y El Día de los Libros). Día promotes books, world languages, and cultural awareness for families.

Join the library for a special Día celebration!

Celebrate with us at these events:

11:30am-12pm: Welcome from Executive Director Heidi Daniel, Director of Equity and Social Impact Department Dominica Myers, Mayor of Kent Dana Ralph and Kent Police Chief Rafael.

12-12:30pm: Spanish/English Story Time with Se Habla Anchor Jaime Méndez.

12:30-1:30pm: Spanish Story Times

12:30-2:00pm: Arts and Crafts

1:30-2:00pm: Performance.

2:00-2:30pm: Conchitas and paletas.

Story Times will also be available online. Attending virtual Story Times? Pick up a free multilingual book on Friday, April 24 at the Kent Library

In partnership with City of Kent, KCLS Welcoming Center, and the KCLS Foundation.
