This needs to stop. The "twist" is not your trope. This book is the book that took Ellen Hopkins from one of my favorite authors to one of my most hated. The entire book is her being cocky with "haha you can't see what is coming" while…

Identical was recommended on some book site. When I first saw the "free verse"? telling of the story I thought it would be a deal breaker but Hopkins made every word count. She told the story of identical twins and the addictions and…

I read this book many years ago and loved it. I plan on re-reading it in the hopes that it will have the same impact on me now as it did then.

WOW , Could hardly wait to read page after page to see what comes next Brilliant writing , really like this Author . Nearly always controversial topics but done in a non offensive way . Didn't see the twists coming , especially the ones…

I liked the writing style--I thought it reflected the characters well. I did not read any comments or reviews of the book before placing a hold on this book, and was completely surprised. It deals with dark subject matter I and…

Having read comments, I knew there was a twist - and I saw it coming, less than halfway through, though not exactly what it was - realized there were hints being dropped on the way through. Felt the author was dishonest in at least one…

A little dark, but i liked it. I'm a fan of Ellen Hopkins and while i do agree that they are dark and scandelous, they're amazing. Well, maybe that's a little far stretched. Hehe

Hated the writing style couldn't get into the book and did not finish it which is rare for me, just not my style of book.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I love Hopkin's writing style and her ability to set a scene is so few words. However, the subject matter of this story is disturbing. It's full of sexual references, sex scenes, drug use, eating…

I had never read anything by Hopkins. And to be honest, I expected nothing from this book, thought I'd get through a couple pages and put it back down unfinished. But, the style was strangely intriguing and the plot had me wondering what's…

Subject matters are very disturbing, even for adults. I wanted to stop reading, but couldn't, and really wanted to find out what happens to the sisters. I'm glad I stuck through it. Amazing ending. I would not want to have this in a…

So many unexpected twists and turns in the plot... I couldn't put it down! This book (as with Ellen Hopkins' other books) is one of the only books I can read more than once by choice. Love it!

so interesting how the author writes in different formats and different...IDK, ways. I also really like the plot of the story after I was done reading this book because the main story is not what you think it all about!

I loved this book so much! Disturbing events written in a teenager's voice yet also very lyrical.

Shocking and jarring ending. The story was compelling, and as always, Ellen Hopkins delivers.

Identical is the best written, most insightful book I have ever read in my whole thirteen years of life. I couldn't believe what comes out of Ellen Hopkins incredible head! Would I recommend this book? YES! But only to people who I thought…

This is such an awesome book! This is the first book by Ellen Hopkins that I've read, and it will probably not be the last! It's so good and intriguing that I'd read at least a 100 pages at a time because I didn't want to put it down. Even…

Well written story. The outcome was fairly obvious but I liked the fact that the ending was not a 'goody goody , it's all over and everything is just fine ' conclusion. I'll definitely be reading more of Ellen Hopkins' work. Unfortunately…

Truly a book worth reading. Ellen Hopkins is a master of modern literature and poetry, using it in such a way that it digs deep into your heart. During this read, I was emotionally affected by the themes of incest, rape, and abuse because…
