Love is no game! It is no flowery softness! It is hard work- It demands everything from you- especially the truth. Only then does it yield results.”
Oh, I wouldn't say Love always makes you happy. Sometimes it makes you incredibly sad.”
“Yeah, well,” Nico said, “not giving people a second thought…that can be dangerous.”
Lots of death, huh? Personally, I'm trying to avoid lots of death, but you guys have fun!”
Annabeth pressed her lips to Percy’s ear. “I love you.”
She wasn’t sure he could hear her—but if they died, she wanted those to be her last words.”
Sexual Content: Absurd pornographic images come to mind when reading this book.
Violence: Lots of violence; not as gory as most books, but still present.
Sexual Content: There are some slightly inappropriate themes ongoing with a lot of the relationships herein. It's kind of wink-wink in nature, though, so not much to be worried about.
Sexual Content: there is a gay character but that should not stop you from reading this book
Other: Vocabulary. you might not understand a few words
Other: I love how everyone mentions *spoilers* that Nico is gay, but dosn't mention any of the other relationships in the book that go way further that whatever *more spoilers* that weird thing with cupid was. odd, odd scene. Also, it felt thrown in. Like, from a story standpoint it did nothing. and now i'm on a rant so I will leave.
Sexual Content: If you're homophobic, I suggest backing away from certain chapters of this book, as the character of Nico di Angelo comes out as gay. While he gets support from all of his fellow demigods - and almost all of the readers - understand this before reading.
