I watched two episodes of Season 1 and that was enough. The series was apparently written for a juvenile audience. There is nothing wrong with that, but the actors are pretty weak and the story lines unimaginative. More experienced viewers will likely find it similar to an old Saturday afternoon matinee movie.

Worth a look if you have the time. Lots of episodes, action, characters, conflicts, about a future where there is no electricity, and no shortage of megalomaniacs willing to exploit the situation. As with most successful series, it's the relationships that keep one watching, and though Revolution starts off exploring these, I guess this background didn't compel me enough for 5 stars. Tracy Spiridakos and Zak Orth are newcomers and great in their roles, but Billy Burke and Elizabeth Mitchell are hard to like as they scowl their way through their less than agreeable roles. A little nuance and humor might have spruced up the proceedings.

Poorly written, in my opinion. At least once in every episode someone says, "I didn't have a choice." The characters often come across as whiny victims. Or as trying to take the weight of the world on their shoulders but they usually ended up sounding insincere. Overall, just not believable characters worth caring about.

Starting from a seemingly simple premise,.. this series is well written, intensely acted, beautifully produced, and becomes increasingly engaging as it developes along.

Reminicient of the sci-fi caliber of "Firefly".

(There probably won't be a third season, because of their sneaky and critical defamation of our Guantanamo Family Values.)

At first I didn't want to see it because it reminded me of Hunger Games from the commercials.
But once I saw it, it's as about as good as LOST. I would say don't underestimate JJ Abrams shows. Definetely watch it.

This is a very good sci-fi post-apocalyptic tv series. Competent, attractive cast (minus the fat tech guy) with a compelling storyline. The fight scenes are cool. The effects are subtle, but effective. Simple plot becomes more complex and interesting the longer you watch. Makes you want to see more.
