Best one yet of the series. I’m really enjoying the adventures Sophronia and her friends go on in each book, but really enjoyed their true personalities shine in this book. Loved how the gang were able to spend so much time together. Some might say that the Sophronia’s choice of patronage may be contextually forced, but I think it’s a good choice for a variety of spoilery reasons.

A fun Steam Punk book that is funny and thoroughly enjoyable.

It felt strange, getting away from Mademoiselle Geraldine's for a while (in the same way that it felt strange to leave Hogwarts in HP7). It was good seeing how these characters interacted with a non-school environment. Characters continued to develop in realistic and surprising ways, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait for the finale!

I love when series continue to improve as they go on, and that is certainly proving to be the case with this one. If you like: Victorian fashion, werewolves, vampires, floating finishing schools, and/or romantic subplots, this is the series for you – and this might have been my favorite installment yet. It’s exceptionally readable and extremely funny, and I’m honestly sad there’s only one book left with Sophronia & co. So good!

This is clearly my favorite of the series so far. I don't know if it's because they are older, or if because we figure out more of the mystery or if it's because it wasn't set in the school...I don't really care. I am actually looking forward to the next book now and can't wait to see how this series ends.

This was definitely my favorite of all the books of this series, I even cried at one part! It was funny, Scary, And Smart! I loved this book! Vampires and werewolves! Loved it!

The narrator was great! The story is good. Is your basic supernatural adventure book with a group of female spies added in.

This, the third of four books, picks up from the previous two. Wherein vampires and their hives were a focus in the second book (Curtsies & Conspiracies), werewolves are the focus here. The books have some really interesting worldbuilding going on, with vampires, werewolves arrayed against one another, as well as against the Picklemen - technomancers who oppose the supernatural.

Borrowing a train, injuries, and a werewolf metamorphosis, this was very enjoyable to read.

Sadly, not much happens in this volume. In fact, I almost quit reading more than once. Glad I stuck with it, because a lot of important and interesting development happens in about the last quarter of the book. Now I'm really interested in where the last volume will take Sophronia and Soap.

I loved this book. I wish that it had taken less time to come out though. Sorry for all of those out there who love Soap, but, I'm still forever and always on Team Felix.

Sophronia is back for her third year of finishing school but she must take a short leave over the holiday break. Sophronia’s brother is getting married and she is expected to attend his engagement ball. While at her brother’s party, their servant mechanicals start malfunctioning. Sophronia feels this is tied to the crystalline valve the Picklemen were trying to steal last year. There is also trouble in Scotland with Sidheag’s pack and she needs to go home. Sophronia and her friends steal a train so they can get Sidheag to Scotland much faster. While on the train the friends discover a Picklemen plot and they must find a way to disrupt their evil plan.
