I was very disappointed in this book. Basically Lipton wants you to 'get rid of your programming' of negative and useless thoughts, and thinks the absolute nonsense of Applied Kinesiology is the golden ticket to doing this. There's a lot of stuff in here that comes from his New Age wife that is just laughable.
I thought his first book The Biology of Belief was a good read, but this is less than useless. Skip it...

We all want to be perpetually happy and I'm no exception. I wanted to be in a state of continuous "honeymoon," and this is why I started reading this book. It did not disappoint. The first thing i learned was that matter is actually energy. The second most important sentence in the book was, "When the cultured cells you're studying are ailing you look first to see the cell's environment, not the cell itself."
Lipton gives examples generously from his own life to explain how we can program our sub-conscious to maintain a state of happiness. I not only enjoyed this book but felt I learned from it.
