My leaf books is a wonderful preschool-1st grade book about colors, shapes, art, and most importantly leaves. It is fun way to introduce scientific method to the very young.
The girl and her dog walk through the park in autumn collecting leaves. As she does she looks at them carefully noticing shape, size, color and introduces the use of a tree guide book and a scientific journal. All in a very age appropriate manner. she sticks all of her leaves in a book and does rubbings, prints and other fun things.
