Add a CommentIf you like the Cars - This CD of 18 of their best songs is sure to please.
Mainly picked up to check the remixed versions of the songs from Greatest Hits; of which there were many and they do sound louder if nothing else. I had trouble getting into any songs outside of the Greatest Hits collection.
Their very best.
After reading ManMachine's informative comments below - There's really nothing more that I can think of to add here about the Cars - Except to say that the music-video I've included for you to view is actually quite an impressive remix of the song "Drive". I like it... Check it out!
Originating in Boston (in 1976), The Cars were a quartet of pretty hip dudes who emerged onto the "New Wave" pop scene at the end of the 1970s.
With their distinctive synth-pop sound (which was generously punctuated by catchy lyrics and up-tempo rhythms), The Cars scored a string of #1 hits that received plenty of heavy airplay throughout the 1980s.
The clean, no-nonsense sound of The Cars' unique music style can be directly credited to their lead guitarist/vocalist, Ric Ocasek, who single-handedly wrote almost all of the band's songs, himself.
This "Best Of" CD contains 18, finger-snapping tracks that come primarily from The Cars' 6 studio albums which were released between 1978-1987. Four of my very favourite tunes from this compilation are - Drive, Shake It Up, My Best Friend's Girl, and You Might Think.
*Trivia Note* - Ric Ocasek's father was a computer analyst for NASA.

Good collection and the remastered sound quality of each track is really top notch. Can't figure out why they didn't include the song "Magic" though.
