I liked the character development of this Australian novel and became involved in the story. My two points of disappointment were that my main question ( I don't want to spoil the plot, so this is vague ) was never answered and that the book seemed to just end with a new devastating event, but no resolution. For me it ended with a whimper instead of a strong sense of closure. Mild recommendation. Kristi & Abby Tabby

Like sinking into a deep wonderful couch, words well chosen and assembled.

A good read, warm and challenging story. A good book to read as a rest from tough sledding tomes.
