Things were going so well for P. I. John Taylor, that it was only a matter of time before everything hit the fan. Walker, the powerful, ever-present, never-to-be-trusted agent who runs the Nightside on behalf of The Authorities, is dying. And he wants John to be his successor--a job that comes with more baggage, and more enemies, than anyone can possibly imagine.

This book peaked my interest from the beginning. It was nothing like I was expecting it to be but a vey good read. I enjoyed it and plan on reading more like it in the future.

This book is about a place where night never ends and everything with eyes is not always human. It is run by a man that gives out punishment as he sees fit and that is not usually a happy ending. John Taylor is a PI tha has a way of finding things and he is hired by a variety of people/things.
