Alex Irvine's transformers novel takes all the generations of transformers throughout the years and blends them harmoniously into a single storyline. A must-read for any transformers fan!!

A good novel for fans of the Transformers universe. The so-called 'official history' tried to tie together elements of the various incarnations of the Transformers franchise and succeeds to an extent. Given the conflicts of elements in various 'histories' so far, this is not an easy task. The histories of the two core characters, Optimus Prime and Megatron, are well-depicted.

I found the pace a little uneven in that the events leading to the war were in great detail but the war itself and the introduction of supporting characters (Bumblebee and Ultra Magnus for example) were given a fleeting mention. Sentinel Prime's role in the story is somewhat an awkward fit.

The book is a fast read, nonetheless, and I would recommend this to the beginning fan and casual fan alike. Hard-core fans may find the story a little frustrating, depending on which history of the TF franchise they follow.

I'm a girl who likes Transformers and I could not put this book down.It is wonderfully written, each character is depicted nicely especially Megatron and Orion Pax/Optimus Prime.Where Megatron is very ruthless and ambitious and where Orion/Optimus is very humble and kind, not wanting power or to upstage anyone. The only thing that I had a hard time with was all the descriptions on the locations because not all locations are shown with a picture on the internet under TF Wikipedias.I like to see what locations look like when they speak of them in the book. The book is very sad in the case of the war on the emotional side of the story. Lots of people died under Megatron's warpath leaving Optimus Prime and his few Autobots to try to stop him. The book is a great ride for anyone seeking action and adventure. I really enjoyed it.

Check out Transformers Exodus Sequel now at the libraby:Transformers Exiles.

Since i'm a Transformers fan, this book helped explain their background. Although it is not correct with the third Transformers movie(Dark of the Moon), it is very good. I agree with Skywatch. It would make an amazing movie! Alex Irvine has a sequel out for this book: Transformers: Exiles. Exiles is, to me, just as descriptive as Exodus, and just as amazing! I agree with sethbond; this book, Exodus should be turned into a movie.

I loved this book. It is highly descriptive and entertaining.
Michael Bay should look at turning this one into a movie. If you don't like Transformers: Exodus, you ought to get your brain checked!
This book is based on video game War for Cybertron, and is the prequel to the new TV series, Transformers Prime

It is an awe-inspiring read and book. I think it would make an excellent movie! As a prequel(the official history) to the Transformers movies. The history of how Megatron and Optimus Prime came to be, and the forces that shaped both of them and their destinies. This book is thrilling with it's non-stop action, enlightening details and great character interactions. If you love Transformers, then you will want to read this many times over. As there is "more than meets the eye" Enjoy! I highly recommend this book, for sure!

"We will always be brothers. We are bound together. You cannot escape me, brother. I will hound you across the stars if I must. until every star in the galaxy has burned itself into a cinder. I will hunt you, and I will find you, and when I find you, I will as I promised, see what the Core might have sequestered inside the body of the so-called Prime" -Megatron

Who was this Megatron, this gladiator thug, killer of criminals and a criminal himself, who gave voice to longing that Orion Pax had never known he felt?
