Now that Mac and Kelly Radner have a second baby on the way, they are ready to make the final move into adulthood, the suburbs. Just as they thought they'd reclaimed the neighborhood and were safe to sell, they learn that the new occupants next door are a sorority even more out of control than Teddy and his brothers. Now forced to turn to the one ex-neighbor with the skills to bring down the new Greeks next door, they bring in charismatic Teddy as their secret weapon.

The first Neighbors was funny. This one, unfortunately, is just dumb. A few funny parts, but clearly not much effort went into the screenplay. Check Rotten Tomatoes, only 47% of the audience liked it. I am in the 53% that didn't.

Like the first NEIGHBOURS, the sequel is a fun time-waster that shows a married couple desperately trying to sell their home and move. Unfortunately, while in escrow, a sorority forms next door and they fear that the potential buyers will back out of the deal, leaving them financially strapped paying for two houses. They do everything in their power to play along with the girls next door, but they quickly realize that the girls are doing everything in their power to gain recognition in the Greek society, which means throwing over-the-top bashes that wake the neighbours and earn some serious dough. A friendly (or is it friendly?) face reemerges, too, which inspires the neighbours to take to some crazy tactics to get what they want. It was fun, but nothing serious, and if you want to kill a couple hours with friends (adult friends, that is -- this film is not for the little 'uns), then I see nothing wrong with watching NEIGHBOURS 2.
