WOW-this was one of the best series I have EVER SEEN! I was absolutely astounded at how many of the actors looked almost exactly like the person they portrayed-Johnny Cochran (Courtney Vance), Chris Darden (Sterling Brown), Marcia Clark (Sarah Paulson), F Lee Bailey (Nathan Lane), etc. John Travolta does an outstanding job as Robert Shapiro and Kenneth Choi is a dead ringer for Judge Ito. Unfortunately, that was also the reason I did not give this series a full 5 stars- Cuba Gooding, Jr., although he did a good job of using the same kind of facial grimaces and body language as O J Simpson, he simply did not LOOK like OJ! Cuba's face is not long enough and he did not seem tall enough. It was especially noticeable up against all these other people who were cast and made up to look so MUCH like the person they portrayed! In fact, I had to check to be sure that the father of Ron Goldman was not paying himself! Beyond that, the writing was wonderful, the acting was terrific, and you really got some insight into things you never knew that had gone on behind the scenes of that trial. I do think they could have spent a little more time on the reasons why the jury only deliberated 4 hours-it wasn't all just because of race. Interviews with some of the jurors years later showed them saying all they really wanted was to go home and if getting a unanimous verdict -even if they did not agree he was not guilty -would get them out of there, that was fine with them after all that time they had been sequestered. Pretty sad.

I highly recommend this series if you have any interest int his case and have not already seen it on tv.

Captures the era and the moment wonderfully, and draws the connections to the present day--some of the best TV of 2016.
