After being fed up with living with an auto-immune disease for several years, chef and blogger, Phoebe Lapine, takes a year to explore wellness. The book is an easy read and often humorous. Lapine’s voice is real and sincere and often times it read like her diary. I loved this book for taking a more balanced and experimental approach to wellness. Great read for anyone feeling frustrated with their body and/or lifestyle and looking for some lighthearted motivation to make changes.

This book may give some people ideas on how to clean up their lives with a better diet, switching to safer home and personal products, exercise suggestions, etc. The author writes about her own journey to be healthier. Most of the time the chatty style works well, but the book is a little too detailed. Here and there I found myself skipping over sections that didn't apply, or were just boring, but the rest of time it was interesting enough to keep on reading.
