I have loved Sci-Fi books since I was very young, and picked up my first Heinlein and Andre Norton books. Unfortunately, this book was not worth the time I spent waiting to check it out. I found it too focused on all the wrong things, and found myself repeatedly wondering when the story was going to start. I could not even force myself to read it all the way through...and I don't feel like I'm missing anything by not reading until the end. Don't waste your time on this one when there are so many better books out there.
