"Daniel Coyle spent three years researching the question of what makes a successful group tick, visiting some of the world's most productive groups--including Pixar, Navy SEALs, Zappos, IDEO, and the San Antonio Spurs. Coyle discovered that high-performing groups relentlessly generate three key messages that enable them to excel: 1) Safety - we are connected. 2) Shared Risk - we are vulnerable together. 3) Purpose - we are part of the same story. Filled with first-hand reporting, fascinating science, compelling real-world stories, and leadership tools that can apply to businesses, schools, sports, families, and any kind of group, The Culture Code will revolutionize how you think about creating and sustaining successful groups."-- Provided by publisher.

Social dynamics determine 90%+ of the performance of your team and you are responsible to create the right one. This book helps you identify what creates highly successful and performant teams, what are their common traits and how to keep up a culture that always favor innovation and forward thinking.

The book offers plenty of real world examples on how to drive teams, however it terribly lacks formal research to back up some of the points exposed through the chapters. Ideas like the ones contained in these books sound like a fairy tale in theory, however translating them into practice is what really counts.

Good ideas for you next team outing, meeting or social event.

A wonderful non-fiction title about how to develop and inspire teams. This is a must read for anyone in a leadership role, or those looking to build their team work skills. The author presents the information in a very easy-to-read, straight-forward way with a lot of stories and examples of how to put their suggestions in to action. I highly recommend this book.

Although most of the findings in this book are known, the presentation & organization of the methods for building a highly successful team is accomplished in a very useful and engaging way.
