Very real: the negative and judging thoughts and the changes in your life when you are confident or not. A fun watch too, funny bits and cringey bits and sweet bits and all.

As mentioned, pacing was poor. Some scenes were too long and irrelevant. Could have been better. This movie was just probably a chapter out of Amy Schumer's diary or dreams. She is lively though!

it was entertaining enough. some pretty funny parts. i'm not a big amy schumer fan, but the story sounded like it might be worth watching and I'd say it was. cute reminder for us all to just be happy with who you are and don't let how other people judge you make you feel bad.

I wanted to give this movie a chance. A woman who thinks she isn't pretty bumps her head and believes she is suddenly model gorgeous. Meh! Amy Schumer isn't a bit funny although there were glimpses of humor throughout the movie. The bikini contest scene was brutal. Instead of portraying the message of being proud of who you are & focusing on improving yourself if you are unhappy the movie gives a different message. If you want to feel better about yourself don't watch this movie. If you need to reinforce the fact that looks do matter & you will be judged by how you look, your age and even where you shop watch this movie. Hard pass.

This could have been a good movie but the pacing was poor. Comedies rely a lot on good timing and there were just too many missed timing. Jokes were predictable. It's not THAT funny and not THAT dramatic and not THAT of anything. Good for airplanes when you got nothing else to watch. Otherwise, probably not worth the time unless you got nothing better to do at home.

I found this movie to be great. I personally like Amy Schumer aside from the airbrushing incident which made me skeptical of her true intentions for being a body positivity/inclusive advocate. Aside from this, the movie itself is fantastic. Humor, and relatable struggles for both men and women when it comes to dating, career building, body positivity, and social commentaries on social status quo issues. I would watch it again and again! The shoe scene was hilarious yet sadly true in cases, personally I don't care lol when requesting anything from a merchant/service. A must watch

Yep - a concussion with an interesting twist. Just watched this movie in the cinema and could not stop laughing. Amy never disappoints! This was a super funny movie and not just for ladies I personally took a lot from.
I do not understand all the backlash on Amy and this movie in particular by the critics (they were probably all men). Amy is a talented artist, funny and charming, but she definitely is not a prototype of physical beauty this society forces on us. She is not a skinny model you can see photos of in most of the movies Hollywood supplies us with, magazines, videos and on social media. And this is what makes an ordinary woman to identify with her character in the movie with.
This society is corrupted with greed, money and forcing a fake image of physical appearance a woman is supposed to look like on us, consumers to buy products to make us look "beautiful". This leads a woman to be objectified by a man. Of course it is only biological force causing men to seek a physically attractive women to reproduce, but this only adds to the distorted image of a skinny make-up covered woman the society holds.
Please remember: it is not about physical beauty, which is only symbol of vanity and is just temporary (we all get wrinkled that's for sure). It is about how confident you are, what your self esteem is, your personality, how you react to certain aspects/situations (the characters's reaction to the results of the bikini contest), attitude and your inner beauty/energy you shine around you. You may not know it, but our thoughts are one powerful thing you need to take hold of. Your thoughts shape who you are!
If you could not understand the message this movie offered, then that is just too bad.
Let's all start "feeling pretty" now on!
