Another road trip with a very interesting damsel very much in distress. Bringing in Chollo is necessary as Parker is slowly developing a cast of supporting guns nation wide for ol' Spense to call on if Hawk is off in Asia doing Hawk stuff. I always hoped Parker would write a series starring Hawk but it only happened on the Silver Screen.

It's always nice to find a Spencer that I haven't read yet. This is an oldie but a goodie from the late, great Robert B. Parker.

Standard Spenser, i.e. delivers the appropriate amount of smart-ass action. No Hawk in this one, but he borrows a good Latino "bad guy", Chollo, from LA.
