So far in my education, I've had more success with this book, "Easy Landscapes," than with any other watercolor instruction manual. The author provides simple instructions accompanied by pictures of what the painting should look like at each step. And I think that is the secret of its success--the visible component. Breaking down the picture into baby steps, allows you to inch your way to a good painting that will make you proud.

There's something like ten basic landscape paintings in the book. All are somewhat challenging for beginners like myself---so challenging that I botched most of them my first time through. Each time you work yourself through the book you'll get better. In time this book should be child's play, and by then you'll be ready to graduate to more difficult material.
