"Death's shadow" wants us to believe a dedicated parish priest who performs his duties for 30 plus years and enduring a loveless marriage suddenly turns his back on his Christian vows and becomes a multiple murderer and afterwards commits suicide. I don't buy the premise. Clearly the people behind Midsomer Murders are doing their best to ridicule the church (any church will do) without offering anything better in the way of living your life. Tom, Troy, Cally, and Jane never let murder get them down.
