The author provides many stories of his extensive consultancy experience, but the essence of his formula really only takes about 3 pages to describe completely.
That's not to say the book isn't useful, only that it reads more like a travel guide for TED talks types; lots of exotic locations and big idea meetings, very little in the way of practice. Be honest, open and willing to put aside prejudices and biases - and stop me if you'd heard this before.
