Born in San Antonio, Texas (in 1951) - Christopher Cross is a 5-time Grammy award winner.

His self-titled debut album, which produced several #1 hit songs, was an immediate, chart-topping success when it was first released back in 1979.

Though Cross's musical career has waned considerably following the mid-1980's, he still continues, to this day, to write songs and perform live at concerts.

This "Best Of" CD contains 19 tracks in all, which were recorded by Cross in the years between 1979-1998. Three of my favourite tunes in this collection are - Sailing, Ride Like The Wind, and Never Be The Same (*watch music-video*)

(Trivia note) - Christopher Cross's birth-name was Christopher Geppert.

Nineteen songs that came from a great composer, writer and performer Christopher Cross. His music has been the theme music to several movies like "Arthur" with Arthur's Theme. He also wrote the theme song to "Nothing in Common" with the song "Loving Strangers". For my money though, the songs from his first album are his best. They include "Ride Like The Wind", "Sailing", and "Say You Will Be Mine". If you haven't listened to Christopher Cross, your missing a big talent!
