I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, Audrey who is my favorite actor, and O'toole who is also one of my favorite actors, really are a wonderful combination. Two charming characters stuck in a weird situation that gets even weirder by the end, it is now one of my favorite movies.
One of my favorite Hepburn comedies. Her chemistry with co-stars O'Toole and Griffith is wonderful, Paris of the mid-sixties is pleasant to glimpse, and Audrey's look, as always, is sublime. She was the perfect actress-muse for Hubert Givenchy, whose classic designs manage the feat of making her both mod and classy.
Note: this DVD contains a commentary track, among a few other bonus features. Usually this is a good thing and I eagerly anticipated what I expected to be amusing and interesting insights on the making of the film from co-star Eli Wallach and director William Wyler's daughter, now a filmmaker herself.
But their chat felt disjointed (appearing to be individual commentaries spliced together) and wandered too often into the self-absorbed personal (particularly with Wallach) and not enough about the actual movie they were supposedly remembering.
Not a big O'Toole fan, but always loved Audrey Hepburn and love this film and script. A whimsical flic.
Very enjoyable. Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole make a great team.
This movie is hilarious and the relationship between Peter O'toole and Audrey Hepburn is fun to watch. One of my favorite classic films.
