A portrait of one of America's most paradoxical leaders. The greatest hero of the Civil War, Grant was a brilliant military strategist, but as a president, he lacked the political skills to deal with the era.

"Ulysses S. Grant" "Warrior, President" offers a fair and balanced portrait of what many historians in the film call "the Most Popular Man of the 19th Century". That means he was more popular than Abraham Lincoln. After watching this PBS two part series you will understand why he was held up with such high regard. Don't miss it if you are a history fan!
