perhaps best seen on a wide wide screen, the scenes at and around landing spots are impressive. impressive also is the acting between John Malkovich, and Nicolas Cage; and between John Cuszack, and Colm Meaney. the film has suspense built into it, and that's an important factor these days.

Loved the many gifted actors in this movie, not what I expected but was very worthwhile-soundtrack as well excellent!

The good news is that they just don't come any worse than this. And I mean ANYTHING isn't worse than this. LOL
Sure, I know this was made for 12 year old boys, but even they have more discretion and taste than to tolerate this. : P

From the Jerry Bruckheimer camp of blow things up and ask questions later, this film about a planeful of convicts and one former army ranger on his way home after serving time is a goofy and preposterous film. It pretty much begins the downfall of Nicolas Cage, which we can characterize by his getting weirder hairpieces in each film. Cage mumbles his way through the film, staying on this flight of lunatics after they take over the plane. John Cusack is good as a marshal trying to regain control of the situation from the ground, Colm Meaney is delightfully cranky as a federal agent having a bad day, and it's really John Malkovich who makes the film, playing the villain to the hilt and chewing the scenery.
