This is a cute movie if you don't think about it too much. Plays into annoying stereotypes but it's entertaining enough.

Heh-heh-heh... this was way worse that I originally thought it was when I first saw it. This is one of those chick flicks that likes to push the envelope as far as they can within their rating. I guess someone realized teens watched these, too, and decided to make a PG version of one. The acting is over-the-top bad, the characters are ridiculous, and you can pretty much figure out the plot point-to-point. If you're an Anne Hathaway fan or a Kate Hudson fan, this is enjoyable, and it's something to watch with some girlfriends, and you've already watched everything else. 2 Stars.

Lifelong best friends Liv (Kate Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway) have been planning their ideal weddings together for years. Now that they are both engaged and ready to be wed, they should be happier than ever, right? When a date mix up occurs at their venue they must fight to decide who gets the wedding of her dreams. This movie combines classic bride meltdowns and drama with gentle loving moments that we all know and love. Whether you are laughing, crying or both, this movie will pull at your heartstrings and funny bone! This romantic comedy  was released in 2009 and directed by Gary Winick.

Ever since they were kids, best friends Liv Lerner (Kate Hudson) and Emma Allen (Anne Hathaway) dreamed about having their wedding at the Plaza Hotel in New York. Both girls get engaged around the same time and decide to plan their wedding right away. They successfully book different dates for their wedding at the hotel. Unfortunately, due to a clerical error, their weddings end up on the same day. With no more available spots at the hotel until next year, these girls begin to experience a rift in their friendship as they fight over who gets the wedding date to themselves. Through time, animosity grows between them, and they become determined to sabotage each other’s wedding. At times, the scenes in the movie are too unrealistic and just stupid. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

very good

It's a wedding comedy starring two actresses who can't act. My expectations were low and I was only slightly disappointed. This would be a good movie to see if you're sick, or have a lot of ironing to do. Don't bother with the special features.

Thought this movie was very cute, no matter what everyone else says. Of course, it contained unnecessary minor sexual content and language, but still cute and girly.

You will enjoy it only when you love to wreck the good times shared with your best friend.

I really thought this movie was great. Especially the end, I knew it from the beginning!
