Presents a collection of articles that challenge popular beliefs, covering such topics as the Iraq War, the Bible code, Islam, AIDS, and mass media.

Perseus Publishing

A must-have revised and expanded edition of The Disinformation Company’s classic anthology, You Are STILL Being Lied To contains more than a dozen all-new essays from contributors like Norman Solomon, Graham Hancock, Alex Jones, John Major Jenkins, Robert Bauval, Richard DeGrandpre, Alexandra Bruce, John Hogue, Gregory Davis, and Scott Creighton on topics ranging from the misleading marketing of antidepressants to the truth about the North American Union, from media consolidation to the New Thought movement.

Editor Russ Kick’s massive collection acts as a battering ram against the distortions, myths, and outright lies that have been shoved down our throats by the government, the media, corporations, organized religion, the scientific establishment, and others who want to keep the truth from us.

An unprecedented group of researchers including Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, Howard Bloom, Sydney Schanberg, Michael Parenti, Riane Eisler, Jim Marrs, and many, many others—investigative reporters, political dissidents, academics, media watchdogs, scientist-philosophers, social critics, and rogue scholars—paints a picture of a world where crucial stories are ignored or actively suppressed and the official version of events has more holes in it than Swiss cheese. A world where real dangers are downplayed and nonexistent dangers are trumpeted. In short, a world where you are being lied to.

Russ Kick is the author of 50 Things You’re Not Supposed To Know, Volumes 1 & 2, and The Disinformation Book of Lists. He is the editor of Everything You Know Is Wrong, Abuse Your Illusions, Everything You Know About Sex Is Wrong, and Everything You Know About God Is Wrong.

Nothing and everything has changed. The classic and bestselling Disinformation anthology is updated and expanded.

how come whenever I've finished a book like this, I feel hopeless, as if what's wrong with the human world is too big to fight? I remember the days when jim mars was inspiring oliver stone to make his absolutely essential movie, JFK. did jim go off the deep end? or is the new direction only a disinformation campaign, such as what the Central Intelligence Agency is famous for fomenting, against 'our' enemies. I don't write 'only' as in unintelligent, nor as in simplistic, or naiive. there is no question that advertising executives, and public relations professionals, as well as talent agents, and all the vice officials of high businesses, are intelligent. but that is not the point. the simplest solution to a murder is to say the only person involved is the person who pulled the trigger. some people, that's all they want, for anything more complicated gives them a headache. some others, however, believe there is one and only one correct answer, and they will not rest till they either discover it for themselves (and the rest of humanity), or hear the discovery of others, and they can then rest, satisfied (the world makes sense, again, finally). there was once an experimental study done by a professor Zimbardo, out at Stanford University. you may have heard of it. the conclusion drawn from it, I guess, depends on you. are the students who decided to choose to torture their experimental captives, the new norm, or not? will you then cleave to this alleged 'new norm,' or will you mourn the state of humanity, accepting as you do that the experiment's results generalize to the population en masse, as in 'human nature: it's only human nature to react that way, to those circumstances.' 'guess I'm not so bad as all that, in consequence.' '...leastways, I'm not a Nazi, Mafiosi, etc., etc., etc.' re: jim marrs, this is the remixed version of this compendium, so he is here, and wonderfully concise, in addition.

The formatting of this book was so confusing and difficult to read that I gave up (little blocks of disjointed text all over the large pages). Plus it is a BIG book, not easy to hold. I was anticipating actual news stories with the "real" stories behind them, but that isn't what this book is.
