This is the last of the series. That may be a good thing as the spark has gone out of the relationship between the partners. Lynley is tired, angry and volatile. The characters are just stock bad guys, and everyone just looks too guilty to be believable. On a side note, BBC videos will not play on my computer, and on the DVD player the closed captioning doesn't work; this is a problem when the Scotsman delivers key information in his thick accent and I have to stop and back up three or four times to figure out what he is saying. Often I just give up. Do watch the earlier videos, as most of them are great.
