I'm not a Jane Austen addict, but I have come to appreciate her novels over the last few years. I needed an audiobook, so I decided to give this one a try.

It is well read by Orlagh Cassidy. The story is engaging enough, but it does seem to be an excuse to try to write a Jane Austen novel. It's an enjoyable listen.

If you like Jane Austen novels or fiction featuring time travel, then this is an author for you. Courtney Stone discovers that her fiance is unfaithful and sinks into a depression, reading her favourite Jane Austen novels over and over. Lo and behold, one morning she wakes up in Jane Mansfield's body! It's a glorious romp through 19th century manners and customs. The reader of this cd has an excellent voice and good expression. There is a sequel to this book so you can continue reading on if you liked it. If you enjoy this sort of book, try The Secret history of the Pink Carnation. T
