One strength of this book is it shows that the debate in origins science is not between religious belief (creation-ism) on the one hand, and scientific knowledge (evolution) on the other, but that a rigorous debate can take place squarely in the realm of scientific evidence. Keep your eyes open for those who dismiss this book and its arguments by simply waving their hands and saying "Oh, its all been refuted." That close-mindedness smacks of going beyond the evidence and into the realm of evolution-ism, which quite frankly is a religious commitment based on the pronouncements of the secular priesthood which would shut down all discussion which is critical of Darwin.
