While not my favorite Nicholas Sparks book, certainly this was not unworthy. Written in two parts, with perhaps more development possible in the second, the "choice" referred to in the title seems to be at first one thing, then perhaps another and finally indeed the actual choice. I liked this rise and fall feel and appreciated the simplicity of Sparks' writing, as I always do; consistently, there is more there than first read but never is it grueling to get through any portions of his books.
