Featured Event. Celebrate Día: Multicultural Literacy for Children!

Join the library for a special Día celebration!

Día is known as Children’s Day or Book Day (El Día del Niño y del Libro). Día promotes books, world languages, and cultural awareness for families.

Celebrate with us at these events: 

11:30am-12pm: Welcome from Executive Director Heidi Daniel, Director of Equity and Social Impact Department Dominica Myers, and King County Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda.

12-12:30pm: Spanish/English Story Time with Se Habla Anchor Jaime Méndez.

12:30-2:30pm: Spanish story times, author visit and crafts.

2-2:30pm: English/Spanish Music Show with Marco Cortés.

2:30-3pm: Mariachi performances.

3-3:30pm: Conchitas and paletas.

Story Times will also be available online.

In partnership with City of Burien, Discover Burien, King County Promotores Network, Mexican Consulate in Seattle, Para Los Niños, Alimentando al Pueblo, Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery, Sea Mar Museum, Sea Mar Community Health Centers, Latino Civic Alliance, KCLS Welcoming Center, and the KCLS Foundation.
